The ruputer is a mixture between PDA and wrist watch. Better said: It's a wrist watch with full-featured PIM-Software. Connectable to the PC. Programmable in C on the PC (FREE SDK!). There exist many games already, although the ruputer exist for only some months yet.
A 16-bit-CPU, running at about 3 MHz, a 102x64 pixel - LCD (with backlight possibility), 128k RAM and a 512k or 2 MB flash (a new model with 4 MB is planned this year) and a joystick-like button. Communication by serial connection ("docking station" included) or by IR. 2 Lithium CR 2025 power the Ruputer for 2 weeks, if it's always turned on, or upto 3 months, if it's off the most of the day.
Bad news: The PC-Software really needs a japanese Windows95 yet.
Good news: The PDA-Software on the ruputer is stored on the flash, so the menu-items can be changed by using a hex-editor.. (Of course, if you have a 512k flash, you don't have very much space left..)
And yes, I'm the proud owner of a (black) Ruputer Pro since 2. Oct'98. I love those japanese high-tech gadgets ;-)
