What This Package Does
-----------------------

The accompanying DVD-Video Player Upgrade package can update
the DVD-Video Player feature in the ThinkPad system.

The following models are supported:
   - ThinkPad i Series 1400 (Type 2621)
   - ThinkPad i Series 1500 (Type 2621)

To determine whether you have to update the program,
refer to "Summary of Changed and Fixed Items."

Installation Guide

Note:
- Before installing, make sure that you have installed the following
  software in the computer:
   - The latest ATI VGA Display driver for Windows 98
   - DVD-Video Player for Windows 98
- This package cannot be installed without the DVD-Video Player
  V.5.00.00.12 installed in the system. This package is for upgrade
  purpose only.

How to install:
 1. Start Windows 98
 2. Extract the upgrade package onto the hard drive.
 3. Click on 'Start' -> 'Run...'.
 4. Type "C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DVD\DV50125.EXE" in the "Open" box
    and click on 'OK'.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

How to check the version:
 1. Run DVD Player.
 2. Click on 'DVD Options' button which is at the bottom
    left corner of the DVD Player.
 3. When 'DVD Options' window appears, you should see 'BUILD version:'
    for the DVD player version No.
