The Duophone TAD-440 is a high quality telephone answering system
with touch-tone remote control.  It uses a digital computer voice to
announce the time, day, and date.  It records this information along
with a message number and your caller's message onto your incoming
message tape.

The TAD-440 is ideal for use in your home or office.

You can use the major features of your answering machine from a remote
location by entering simple commands using a touch-tone phone.  It
requires no special beeper.  If you don't have access to a touch-tone
phone, you can use an optional pocket tone dialer to operate the
answering machine remotely.

The answering machine offers many special features:

Toll Saver - lets you avoid unnecessary toll charges when you call by
long distance to check your messages.

Memo Record - lets you leave memos for yourself or others.

Two-Way Record - lets you record your phone conversation.

Room Monitor - lets you listen from a remote phone to the room where
you install the TAD.

Phone Pick-Up Detection - stops the outgoing announcement playback or
incoming message recording and resets the TAD to answer the next call
if you pick up any phone on the same line as the TAD.

Erase-Rewind - lets you easily erase messages on the tape.

Variable Length Outgoing Message - lets your outgoing message be any
length up to the length of the tape.

Touch-Tone Remote Control with Security Code - lets you control most
features from a remote touch-tone phone using the buttons of the
phone.  It also includes a security number restriction to prevent
unauthorized access.

Voice Time/Day/Date Message Stamp - identifies each message with a
voice announcement of the time, day, and date it is received.

Voice Message Number Stamp - identifies each message with a voice
announcement of the type of message (memo, two-way, message), and the
order in which the message is received.

Remote On/Off Feature - lets you turn the answering machine on or off
by remote control.
