ERASE PROTECTION TABS

A cassette has a built-in device to automatically prevent accidental
erasure of a tape.  This protection device, however, does not prevent
erasure using a bulk tape eraser.

The cassette has two small plastic tabs on its back edge.  If you break
off the Side A tab, you cannot record on Side A.  If you break off the
Side B tab, you cannot record on Side B. 

If, however, you decide you want to record on a side after you have
removed the tab, cover the tap hole with a piece of plastic adhesive tape.

CAUTION:  Never try to force the [RECORD] button down if you have removed
          the tab.  You can damage the tape mechanism.
