Video Switcher (150-1274) Rear Panel Connections Faxback Doc. # 7292 Use the shielded video/audio cable Catalog Number 15-1535 that has the RCA phono plugs at either end. Connect your first source of video, Source A, to the group of jacks on the left side of the rear panel. Connect the second source to the B group. The two groups of jacks on the back of your Switcher are labeled A and B to differentiate between the two sources of video being edited to the recording VCR. The top row of jacks are the output jacks. The bottom row of jacks are the input jacks. 1. AUDIO A IN Jacks Connect the left and Right audio input jacks, the white and the red jacks on the bottom left of group A, to the corresponding Left and Right AUDIO OUTPUT jacks of the first video unit - Source A. 2. VIDEO A IN JACKS Connect the video input jack, the yellow jack on the bottom right of group A, to the VIDEO OUTPUT Jack of your first video unit - Source A. 3. AUDIO A OUT Jacks Connect the Left and Right audio output jacks, the white and the red jacks on the top left of group A, to the corresponding Left and Right AUDIO INPUT jacks of your recording VCR. 4. VIDEO A OUT Jack Connect the video output jack, the yellow jack on the top right of group A, to the VIDEO INPUT jack of your recording VCR. Note: On some VCRs, the VHF/UHF inputs are automatically disabled when connections are made to the audio/video input jacks. Other VCRs allow manual selection of the input source. If your VCR is of the former type, you will have to unplug the connections to the VCR audio/video input jacks when you want to record antenna broadcasts or cable TV signals connected to the VHF/UHF inputs on the VCR. 5. AUDIO B IN Jacks Connect the Left and Right audio input jacks, the white and the red jacks on the bottom left of group B to the corresponding left and right AUDIO OUTPUT jacks of your second video unit - Source B. 6. VIDEO B IN Jack Connect the video input jack, the yellow jack on the bottom right of group B, to the VIDEO OUTPUT jack of your second video unit - Source B. 7. AUDIO B OUT Jacks The Left and Right audio output jacks, the white and the red jacks on the top left of group B, may be connected to the corresponding Left and Right AUDIO INPUT Jacks of a second recording VCR, a television monitor, a stereo receiver, or a video/audio control center. 8. VIDEO B OUT Jack The video output jack, the yellow jack on the top right of group B, may be connected to the VIDEO INPUT jack of a second recording VCR, a television monitor, or a video/audio control center. See Variable Connections for connections to different video and audio components. POWER Cord Plugs into a standard AC outlet, 120V, 60 Hz. Notes: 1. If you are using monaural VCRs, Use AUDIO IN jacks only. These jacks accept monaural input signals and provide them to both L and R channel input automatically. 2.
