You can tune to a radio station using manual tuning or automatic search
tuning.

MANUAL TUNING

Follow these steps to manually tune to a station.

1.  Press FUNCTION to select the tuner.  A frequency appears on the
    display.

2.  Press AM/FM AUTO/MONO on the front panel to select the desired band.

    When you select FM AUTO, the tuner automatically detects the stereo or
    monaural broadcast and sets its output according to the signals
    received.  STEREO lights when you tune the System 710 to a stereo
    program and turns off when you tune to a monaural program.

    Note:  If FM stereo reception is noisy, press AM/FM AUTO/MONO until
    FM AUTO disappears from the display.  The sound is no longer in
    stereo, but the reception improves.

3.  Press TUNING/EQUALIZER < OR > to tune to the desired station.  TUNED
    lights when you tune to a station.
