CHOOSING A LOCATION

WARNINGS:  Be sure the radar detector's mounting position does not block
           driver's vision.

           Do not mount the detector where the driver or a passenger might
           hit it in a sudden stop or accident.

           You must position the radar detector correctly for it to operate
           properly.  Choose a mounting location that meets the following
           requirements.

           The detector's antenna (located at the opposite end from the
           controls) has an unobstructed "view" of the road in the front
           of your vehicle.

           The detector does not interfere with the vehicle's operation.

           The detector is not behind metallic objects such as windshield
           wipers, radio antennas, mirrored glass, or metallic sun screens.

           The detector is as high as possible to give the best vantage
           point to the horizon and reduce the chance of interference from
           wiper blades.

MOUNTING THE RADAR DETECTOR

Install the radar detector using either the hook-and-loop tape or the sun
visor mounting clip (both supplied).

Warning:  Do not mount the radar detector where it might injure
          someone in an accident.

HOOK-AND-LOOP MOUNTING

For some dashboards, the hook-and-loop tape included with your detector
might be the best mounting method.  Follow these instructions to use the
hook-and-loop tape.

1.  Use a damp clothe to thoroughly clean both the bottom of the radar
    detector and the dashboard.  Let both surfaces dry completely.

NOTE:  The tape's adhesive might not stick to a surface treated with
       vinyl cleaner or protectant.

2.  On a curved dashboard, use on strip of tape on each side of the
    detector's bottom.  On a flat dashboard, attach a strip of tape to
    each corner of the radar detector.  Cut the two provided strips in
    half to attach the detector in four places.

3.  Peel off the tape's paper backing and apply the tape to the bottom
    of the radar detector.

4.  Remove paper backing from the other side of the tape and press the
    radar detector onto the dashboard.

SUN VISOR MOUNTING

The vehicle's sun visor is a convenient place to mount the radar detector.

WARNING:  Do not mount the radar detector on a visor if this places
          the radar detector near the driver's or passenger's head.

1.  Snap the supplied sun visor mounting clip into the radar detector's
    track.

2.  Use the slip to attach the radar detector to the sun visor, making
    sure the controls face you and the end containing the antenna faces
    forward.
