CHANGING THE PRINT WHEEL

1. Make sure the printer power switch is on. (The Power lamp on the 
   operation panel should be lit.)

2. With the front view cover closed, press the CHANGE WHEEL switch on the  
   operation panel. The cartridge assembly will move to the print wheel 
   change position.

NOTE: The CHANGE WHEEL switch will not function when the front view cover 
is open of a ribbon cartridge is not installed.

3. Remove the front view cover.

4. Remove the ribbon cartridge.

5. While holding the hammer bracket with your left hand, push the carriage  
   setter toward the platen with your right thumb. The carriage will then 
   tilt away from the platen.

6. Hold the print wheel tab between your thumb and forefinger; remove the  
   print wheel by gently wiggling the tab while pulling the print wheel 
   away from the carriage. Be sure to store the print wheel in the print 
   wheel case.

7. Install a replacement print wheel.

8. Press the hammer bracket toward the platen with your thumb. The carriage  
   assembly is then secured to the support plate by the carriage setter.

9. Re-insert the ribbon cartridge.

10. Re-attach the front view cover. The carriage assembly will automatical-
    ly return to its previously position.
