Before running the self-test, be sure to load the printer with 8 1/2 by 11"
or wider paper since the test prints from one end of the platen to the 
other.

To run the self-test:
1. Press and hold the LINE/FORM button.
2. Turn on the printer.

The printer prints the ASCII 96 characters in various fonts programmed into
the printer, then stops.

To stop the self-test, press the ON/OFF LINE button.

The self-test printout provides information about your printer.
Have this information handy if you call service.
